ACTS have rigged and operated lighting at many of the Airbus sites around the UK in the last few years, even lighting the first A380 wing off the production line at Broughton.
Broadbents Fashions is run by the Broadbent family with outlets in Stockton Heath and Knutsford.
ACTS have supplied sound and lighting for
the Broadbent fashion shows since 1988 These
have been held at various hotels in the
Warrington area such as the Lord Daresbury
and Park Royal, usually on a very tight
schedule.
The pictures shown are of Broadbents
Centenary Show, this was understandably a
special one with the audience seated at
tables and more time allocated to rig
equipment. ACTS supplied fully controllable
room lighting highlighting each table making
for a very special atmosphere. A set complete
with video screen was also utilised to
enhance the event and play DVD’s.

2003 was a busy summer (actually they all are!) with The Keswick Convention Marquee being left up for a few more weeks:-
Firstly Keswick Music Festival utilised the venue for a concert with the English Philharmonic Orchestra and guest cellist Julian Lloyd Weber. ACTS supplied sound, lighting and staging and noticeably used the Symphotec microphone system to pick up the string sections of the EPO.
A week later the venue was used by the mission organisation Operation Mobilisation for their International Conference, again ACTS supplied all the technical services except the video which was supplied by OMNIvision a part of OM.
This convention was started in Keswick in 1875 on the lawn of the local rectory it now runs for 3 weeks and attracts Christians from all over the UK and the world.
The main marquee which is attached to the back of the convention centre holds in excess of 3000 people and regularly the overflow tents are needed.
ACTS involvement started in 1999 initially supplying lighting on a hire and rig only basis. Since 2005 we have supplied and operated all the live sound & lighting requirements for the main venue and sound or lighting for many of the smaller venues.
ACTS also designed and supplied the steel frame that is constructed inside the main tent to provide a stage area c/w rigging points, support for roof drapes, screens etc..
From 2007 led pixel lines and Par Cans have been used to light the set which has proved very successful as height and power are limited on the site.
Another corporate client of McZap Productions and again ACTS have supplied mainly lighting services for a number of events countrywide from Glasgow to Bristol. The pictures show the opening ceremony of the new Inchinnan (Glasgow) factory in 2004 where a auditorium space was created with one complete wall on curtain track ready to be opened at the appropriate moment to reveal the workforce and the new facility.
Our local council and one of our biggest customers, ACTS have supported many varied events that the council has run in the area, to name but a few:- Walking Days, Remembrance events, annual firework displays, Christmas lights switch ons, Royal Visits, Jazz concerts in Golden Square.
A major part of our work with WBC is our link with CDS Cultural Development Services i.e. Pyramid & Parr Hall where we supply additional equipment and/or personnel to support the many and varied programme of shows at these venues.
In addition to equipment hire & operation ACTS regularly supplies new equipment and consumables to WBC and provide a repair/maintenance/repair service to many of the council's schools and leisure facilities.
WDP run amongst many other services the annual Disability Awareness Day (DAD Day) at Walton Gardens in Warrington and this attracts in the region of 28,000 visitors in one day. ACTS has supplied equipment and manpower since the second event in 1994. The event has grown & grown and ACTS now supply site & venue PA’s with operators, generated site power and conference services for the sponsors presentation. “DAD Day” now is in fact a whole week of work with the events that take place on the site before the main day, including the launch event in Golden Square.
